We are based in the town centre of Southend-on-Sea, adjacent to both the mainline train station (Southend Central) into London and the bus station, making staff access much easier. Trains into London depart from Southend Central directly into Fenchurch Street (50 minutes) and from Southend Victoria directly into Liverpool Street (55 minutes). We’re also situated on the M25 corridor with great road links into London and the Home Counties.
Southend on Sea is an excellent location for our centre as it was one of the original destinations for the Access credit card contact centre, which was subsequently acquired by RBS. This encouraged other big companies to set up contact centre operations in the locality such as HSBC, NatWest, Telewest, Thus, and First Data, and because of this there is a highly trained pool of contact centre staff to recruit from.
Also because of our vicinity to London we are able to recruit people who have traditionally worked in the city but have started a family and prefer to work closer to home, providing a pool of highly skilled mature and experienced adults.
Our state-of-the-art contact centre facility is designed from the ground up to provide our staff with an exceptional working environment. Our centre is light, extremely modern and has great views out over the Thames Estuary. The internal space comprises 254 advisor positions, a reception, two multi-media training suites, board room, contact centre managers office, management suite, two staff break out areas and a series of back office suites to accommodate our administrative and support teams.
No expense has been spared to create what is arguably one of the finest contact centre operations in the UK and in fact Perry Sanger editor of contact-centres.com recently referred to Ventrica as one of the top 10 contact centres he has ever walked into!
